Police assigned to protect former prime minister Dr Keith Rowley’s home in Goodwood Park, Diego Martin, are cautiously optimistic after repairs to the dilapidated police booth they occupy finally began.
The booth is a camper van outfitted as a police post, and was in a dire condition.
Newsday highlighted the plight of the officers in a story on June 5, after visiting the site and seeing the state of the van.
