A 47-year-old St James man was robbed of $6,000 shortly after cashing a cheque at First Citizens Bank (FCB), One Woodbrook Place, on Saturday afternoon.

Police said around 5.10 p.m., the man had just withdrawn the money and placed it in his backpack when he noticed someone he knows, identified only as “Short Man”, following him.

The victim was standing outside the bank using his cellphone when he felt his backpack being unzipped. He turned around and saw “Short Man” running away.
