Police are searching for a suspect after hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of cannabis was found in plant pots at a house in St Joseph.
According to a police report, on Sunday around 7 a.m. personnel of the Highway Patrol Task Force were on enquires at Wharf Trace, Maracas St Joseph when they received information of a suspect being in possession of illegal firearms and ammo. Police said the party then proceeded to a house at #63B Wharf Trace, with a view of searching the home without warrant in accordance with powers conferred under the Emergency Powers Regulations 2024.
Police report that upon making effort to enter the yard, the party observed a man who was in the yard run into the house. The suspect then exited and fled into a hill behind the property, leaving the house ajar. The party attempted to give chase without success.
