Venezuela Minister of Communication and Informa­tion Freddy Nanez has suggested that a video released by the White House on Tuesday showing a naval attack on what the US deemed a “drug-carrying boat” coming out of Venez­uela was artificial intelligence (AI) generated.

The video, depicting a lethal strike on a vessel in the southern Caribbean, was released by US officials, with the White House confirming the killing of 11 “narco-terro­rists” who it later designa­ted as part of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang.

In a post to his Truth Social platform, US President Donald Trump said the mili­tary strike had been carried out earlier that morning (Tuesday) in the Southcom region on his orders.
