The Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad will have a new principal at the helm, starting August 1, 2025, the Council of Legal Education (CLE) has confirmed.
An official release from the CLE Secretariat reports that Rudranath Maharaj—attorney at law for almost three decades, and a trained Mediator—has been appointed as Principal of the Hugh Wooding Law School (HWLS), effective August 1, 2025.
His is one of two major appointments made to regional legal institutions, with the other being that of Dr. Christopher Malcolm as the new Principal of the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica, with his appointment taking effect on September 1, 2025.
