A former employee of a Woodbrook-based company is under investigation after allegedly misappropriating more than $32,000 during her tenure.

The company's Human Resource Manager, reported that the Director of a company located at Roberts Street, discovered discrepancies in company accounts. The employee, a 34-year-old woman of Laventille, had worked as a Customer Service Representative for two months this year before resigning.

An internal audit conducted by the Managing Director revealed that $32,426 was missing. The case is being treated as larceny by a servant.
