The San Fernando City Corporation has issued a clarification on its traffic control plan around the Skinner Park facility, following concerns from parents and guardians about school drop-off and pick-up procedures.
The Corporation said the plan, originally developed over ten years ago under former Mayor Alderman Kazim Hosein and later implemented by former Mayor Alderman Junia Regrello, has successfully alleviated congestion and improved traffic flow in the area.
Officials emphasised that parents are not prohibited from dropping off or collecting children on Park Street, particularly for younger pupils. However, prolonged parking on the street will not be allowed to maintain smooth traffic movement.
