A former People’s National Movement (PNM) activist was chopped on the head yesterday morning while picking flowers by a man armed with a cutlass.
Reports said the activist had just returned from a morning run and had gone to his flower garden to pick flowers for his morning devotions around 6.30 am when he was attacked.
Relatives who heard his cries for help rushed him to the Sangre Grande Hospital, where he is warded in stable condition.
